Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing a centralized data strategy that drives business insights and informs our risk management decisions. You'll work closely with our Risk Management, local Finance, and business groups to provide credit-associated selection aid and support our underwriting, patron management, credit, and collections activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Director of Data Science at arenaflex, you'll have the following key responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance: You'll be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform our risk management decisions and provide strategic recommendations to Senior Management.
• Own precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert of the applicable tools: You'll be responsible for troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation possibilities, and training other customers to drive adoption of our data tools and platforms.
• Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; provide credit-associated analytical aid: You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining reports that provide actionable insights to our business partners and supporting our credit-associated analytical needs.
• Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management: You'll be responsible for presenting complex data insights and recommendations to Senior Management, ensuring that our business decisions are informed by data-driven insights.
• Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.: You'll be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our Risk Finance portfolio groups and partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, and other areas to ensure that our data strategy is aligned with our business objectives.
• Provide selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions: You'll be responsible for developing and implementing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within our portfolio, enabling our business and risk teams to make informed decisions.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have the following qualifications:

• Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1: You'll need to have experience working with a range of data tools and platforms, including SQL, Hive, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, VBA, and TM1.
• Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required: You'll need to have experience working with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including data analysis, visualization, and presentation.
• Experience in ML modeling is a plus: While not required, experience in machine learning modeling is a plus.
• Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions: You'll need to have strong economic and analytical skills, with the ability to work with large data sets and draw significant conclusions.

Salary Range

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
