Creative Director (Copy) - Rebrand + B2B
Our client in the enterprise industrial technology and aerospace-adjacent industry is looking for a Creative Director (Copy). This is a freelance, seniorlevel leadership role and will sit on the embedded team we build for the client. The role starts as soon as the rebrand phase enters active execution and is expected to run through EOY, with potential to extend based on scope evolution. Requirements: - 10+ years of copy and content leadership experience, with demonstrated success leading largescale brand or rebrand initiatives - Portfolio demonstrating experience translating complex, technical, or B2B offerings into clear, compelling brand narratives as well as setting and stewarding brand voice, messaging frameworks, and editorial standards across channels - Experience partnering closely with brand, design, marketing, product, and executive stakeholders - Experience straddling strategic thinking and hands-on copy leadership (executing vision and execution) - Background in matrixed, enterprise organizations undergoing transformation or change - Comfortable to lead, mentor, and provide direction to internal teams and external agency partners Responsibilities: - Own and define the brand voice and messaging strategy for a largescale rebrand, ensuring clarity, consistency, and differentiation - Lead copy development across key rebrand touchpoints, including: Brand narrative and positioning, Messaging frameworks and value propositions, Campaign and launch messaging, Website and digital experience copy, Internal brand communications and enablement materials - Partner with Creative Directors (Design), Brand, Marketing, and Strategy teams to ensure verbal and visual identity are fully aligned - Translate business, portfolio, and organizational changes into clear, confident, humancentered messaging - Provide editorial leadership and governance, establishing tone, voice, and copy standards for internal teams to scale against - Review, refine, and elevate copy produced by other writers to ensure it meets brand and quality standards - Present messaging rationale and creative recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders - Navigate ambiguity and evolving inputs typical of enterprise rebrands and postdivestiture environments In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
