Seasonal Tax Return Reviewer (January - April 2027)

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated seasonal tax reviewer to join our team in Northern Michigan. In this fully remote role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our clients receive accurate and efficient tax preparation services that align with our commitment to excellence. This is a seasonal role during the next tax season (January - April 2027).

Responsibilities

• Review individual and Trust tax returns (Forms 1040 and 1041)
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
• Provide feedback and guidance to preparers to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Identify potential issues, planning opportunities, and documentation gaps
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
• Serve as a point of contact for client matters, providing insights and strategic recommendations
• Maintain organized records of client information and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business required
• 10 years of experience in public accounting with a focus in individual taxation and high-level tax review.
• Current CPA license or Enrolled Agent license preferred
• Strong knowledge of individual tax return preparation and review
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (CCH Access, QuickBooks)
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong math skills for accurate calculations
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Customer service-oriented mindset
