Part-Time College Essay Editor
Ivy Experience supports students at every stage of their academic journey — including SAT/ACT preparation, college applications and essay coaching, academic tutoring, educational seminars, and comprehensive college consulting services. We are seeking detail-oriented, part-time editors to polish college application essays. This role focuses strictly on copyediting: refining essays to meet word limits and ensuring clarity, grammar, flow, and overall submission readiness. This is not a student-facing position and does not involve content development or coaching. Weekend availability is a plus, but not required.
- *Responsibilities
- Edit college application essays to meet strict word limits without compromising meaning or voice
- Proofread for grammar, syntax, punctuation, clarity, and consistency
- Ensure final drafts are clean, polished, and submission-ready
- Adhere to a 2-business-day turnaround time for assigned work
- *Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong proofreading and copyediting abilities
- Ability to follow established style and editing guidelines consistently
- Reliable time management and responsiveness
- Experience editing academic or college application writing preferred
- *Schedule & Training**
• Position runs May 1st through December 1, beginning with training
- Part-time commitment of approximately 8–10 hours per week with possibility of renewal for next admissions cycle
