Senior Lead Animator, 3D Environments

Our client, a groundbreaking digital arts studio, is seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Lead Animator to join their dynamic team in Salt Lake City, Utah, US . This role is pivotal in shaping the visual narrative and immersive experiences for our next generation of interactive entertainment. You will be responsible for overseeing the animation pipeline for 3D environments, ensuring artistic integrity, technical feasibility, and timely delivery of high-quality assets. Your expertise will guide a team of talented animators, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of animation principles, character rigging, and physics-based animation. You will collaborate closely with art directors, level designers, and technical artists to translate concepts into breathtaking animated sequences. Responsibilities include establishing animation standards and best practices, conducting reviews, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring junior team members. You will also be involved in the technical aspects of animation, including optimization for real-time rendering engines and ensuring compatibility across various platforms. A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional character animation, environmental animation, and technical skill is essential. Experience with industry-standard software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, and game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity is a must.
