Research Consultant (Technical Writer)
- PSI's MERL team is building a pool of scientific and technical writing consultants to support research and learning initiatives across global health programs through flexible Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQC), with individual task orders issued as needed. - Consultants will lead or support production of professional research outputs including reports, briefs, and peer-reviewed journal manuscripts; provide end-to-end manuscript support from journal selection through revisions; coordinate multi-author inputs and synthesize content; and deliver substantive, language, and copy editing for technical research outputs. - Additional responsibilities include leading evidence synthesis activities such as systematic and scoping literature reviews, developing graphics and data visualizations, and facilitating webinars on technical writing topics for PSI staff. - Candidates must hold a Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field such as public health, epidemiology, anthropology, sociology, or economics, with demonstrated experience writing and editing professional research outputs in global health topics. - Required qualifications include previous consultant experience, exceptional written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently across time zones and multicultural teams, and strong organizational abilities.
