Tester (Functional / QA Engineer) - IRS

Job Title: Tester (Functional / QA Engineer) Location: Tysons Corner, VA (Remote) Duration: Fulltime Clearance: Active IRS MBI Clearance (Preferred) Role: Tester supports quality assurance activities for system development and data migration efforts. The individual will assist in validating system functionality, performance, and integration to ensure alignment with project requirements. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect validation
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Validate data integrity and support data migration testing efforts
- Collaborate with development and business teams to clarify requirements and expected outcomes
- Maintain test documentation, test results, and traceability matrices
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- Experience with enterprise application testing and SDLC processes
- Knowledge of test management tools and defect tracking systems
- Basic SQL knowledge for data validation
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
