Full Stack Engineer, External Data Analytics | Remote
Title: MID-LEVEL FULL STACK ENGINEER / AWS CLOUD-NATIVE ANALYTICS PLATFORM Location: 100% Remote (USA) Duration: Long-term Contract (6-month extensions) AWS CLOUD-NATIVE ANALYTICS PLATFORM IS MUST Job Summary We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to support the design, development, and reliability of enterprise analytics platforms that power mission-critical exam operations. This role will contribute to building scalable cloud-native applications, real-time telemetry pipelines, APIs, and high-performance reporting systems that provide trusted operational insights during peak exam delivery. The ideal candidate is a mid-level engineer with strong hands-on experience across AWS serverless architecture, backend services, data platforms, and modern front-end development. This role requires someone who can work across the full stack-from data ingestion and transformation through secure service layers to intuitive dashboard experiences-while maintaining a strong focus on scalability, reliability, automation, and observability.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience designing, building, and supporting scalable cloud-native applications, data pipelines, or analytics platforms.
- 1 years of experience building modern front-end applications using React.js and TypeScript.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Python, JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, Node.js, and React.js.
- Experience with AWS serverless and distributed cloud infrastructure.
- Strong experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, Glue, EMR, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Experience building APIs, backend services, and data processing systems.
- Experience with data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reporting pipelines.
- Strong understanding of microservices, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience building responsive, secure, and high-performance front-end applications.
- Experience with Playwright or similar automated testing frameworks.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
- Ability to work EST business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Amazon Redshift, Athena, Apache Iceberg, Lake Formation, InfluxDB, and SageMaker Studio.
- Familiarity with Grafana, observability practices, telemetry, and platform monitoring.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CLI.
- Exposure to Backstage, LaunchDarkly, GitHub Actions, or modern CI/CD tooling.
- Familiarity with machine learning lifecycle concepts and AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience with stream processing or complex event processing frameworks such as Apache Flink.
