Responsibilities

As a Remote Chat Support Agent, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to customer inquiries via chat in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate and helpful solutions to their questions and concerns.
  • Resolving customer issues and complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives, including refunds, replacement products, or other solutions.
  • Following up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved and they are satisfied with the outcome.
  • Using available resources to research and provide accurate information to customers, staying up-to-date on the latest information to provide excellent answers.
  • Identifying and escalating priority issues to appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Meeting daily and weekly performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, response times, and issue resolution times.
  • Providing feedback to management on customer concerns, trends, and issues to help us continually improve our products and services.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Time management skills to balance multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Self-motivation and discipline to stay focused and productive in a home-based setting.
  • Adaptability to changes in technology, processes, and procedures, with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Customer service skills, including patience, empathy, and a solution-focused approach to help customers feel heard and valued.
  • Problem-solving skills to assess customer needs, analyze information, and provide creative solutions to resolve issues.
  • Technical skills, including familiarity with chat software, email clients, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Team player skills, with the ability to collaborate with other team members, share knowledge, and support one another to achieve team goals.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a remote or call center environment.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and other e-commerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other software applications.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting to inform business decisions.
