Experienced Senior Accountant – Remote Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our remote bookkeeping team at arenaflex. As a key member of our finance department, you'll play a critical role in driving financial reporting and analysis to inform business decisions. You'll work closely with our Senior Bookkeeping Supervisor to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, process improvements, and compliance with US GAAP and PCAOB principles.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

• Planning and preparing journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including management and GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Collaborating with FP&A and functional partners to provide financial insights and recommendations
• Conducting special investigations and projects to drive process improvements and cycle efficiency
• Providing financial analysis and support for external auditors and other stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining financial models and reports to inform business decisions
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a self-motivated and independent individual with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting. If you have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, PCAOB principles, and SOX/ internal controls
• Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• A "make it happen" attitude, with a willingness to take ownership and drive results
• A passion for learning and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
