Job Summary
As a Full Stack Data Scientist, you'll play a critical role in our Clinical Trials and RWE team, working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement advanced data analytics solutions. You'll be responsible for extracting insights from complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, and developing predictive models to inform business decisions. Your expertise will help us drive innovation, improve patient outcomes, and advance the field of medical research.
Key Responsibilities
* Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including in-house databases, authorized platforms, and external data providers
- Develop and maintain advanced data analytics pipelines using R, Python, and SQL
- Design and execute statistical models to analyze RWE/RWD, identifying new insights into patient populations and treatment outcomes
- Collaborate with biopharmaceutical organizations to develop and implement results research studies
- Ensure high-quality, interpretable results from RWE reviews and examinations
- Develop dashboards, analysis, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct quality evaluations of new data suppliers and drive RWD quality assessments to inform project decisions
Essential Capabilities
* 2+ years of experience with R, Python, or SQL
- Proven track record of designing and executing effective, reproducible statistical analyses in epidemiology and observational research with healthcare data
- Strong understanding of standard statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, regression and classification, decision trees, machine learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis
- Experience handling large datasets from various sources
- Familiarity with handling protected patient health information
- Knowledge of at least one business intelligence (BI) tool, such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other similar platforms
Preferred Capabilities
* Mastery of electronic medical records (EMR)/health IT, disease libraries, and claims data sets
- Familiarity with clinical data principles, clinical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode)
- Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance rules for RWE studies or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR)
- Experience working with alternative data sources and alternative methods for clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology platforms and solutions
- Familiarity with trial design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics
- Understanding of machine learning and AI strategies, with a willingness to continue learning and developing new skills
