Our Transportation Analytics crew is a key part of our operations, working closely with various departments to optimize logistics and supply chain management.
Job Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst in our Transportation Analytics crew, you will be responsible for:
- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets and performing ad-hoc analyses to provide essential business insights
- Creating ETLs or strategies that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table
- Developing data visualization to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
- Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs
- Partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks for reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition)
- Documenting your strategies and sharing your expertise with colleagues
- Mentoring colleagues as you become a Subject Matter Expert
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics)
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity
- Creativity with a User Experience basis to enhance impactful Tableau Dashboards
- Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to recognize and root cause business problems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on SQL and data visualization
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau
- Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
