Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our team in Chelmsford, USA. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes using cloud-based technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Azure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, product management, and engineering, to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes using cloud-based technologies such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Collaborate with data science teams to integrate machine learning models and algorithms into data pipelines
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and data quality checks using Python, SQL, and other programming languages
- Work with data engineers to design and implement data architecture, data governance, and data security policies
- Develop and maintain data stores, data models, and data visualizations to support business intelligence and analytics
- Investigate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve data engineering processes and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering projects and initiatives
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with SQL, Python, and other programming languages
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with data governance, data security, and data quality best practices
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
- Experience with healthcare industry data and regulations
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
