The Role

As the Director of Data Science, you will lead the Global Data Strategy group within the Risk Finance organization, responsible for developing and implementing a centralized data strategy that supports strong forecasts and analytics for the wider Risk Finance organization. Your primary duties will include:

• Leading the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance: You will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide insights and recommendations to Senior Management.
• Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert of the applicable tools: You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation possibilities, and teaching other customers to drive adoption.
• Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-associated analytical aid: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports that provide insights and recommendations to Risk Finance and business partners.
• Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management: You will be responsible for presenting complex data insights and recommendations to Senior Management.
• Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.: You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Providing selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions: You will be responsible for developing and implementing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio.

Required Qualifications

* Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1: You will be responsible for working with a range of data tools and technologies to develop and implement data solutions.

• Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required: You will be responsible for working with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to develop and present complex data insights.
• Experience in ML modeling is a plus: You will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models to support data-driven decision-making.
• Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions: You will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide insights and recommendations to business partners.
• Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills: You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, and identifying enhancements and automation possibilities.
• Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines: You will be responsible for delivering high-quality results within tight timelines.
• Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes: You will be responsible for developing and implementing data solutions that meet the needs of the business.
• A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the potential to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals: You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required: You will be responsible for working with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to develop and present complex data insights.
• Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required: You will be responsible for applying advanced mathematical and statistical skills to develop and implement data solutions.

Salary Range

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, with bonus and equity (if relevant) and benefits.
