Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Development Manager to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our customer development team, you'll be responsible for driving growth and excellence through data-driven insights, strategic partnerships, and collaborative problem-solving. Your primary objective will be to create and deliver actionable insights and recommendations based on a variety of data sources, ensuring that our vendor programs are executed effectively in the field. Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Development Manager at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Creating and delivering insights and recommendations: Using various data sources, including Point of Sale (POS) data, syndicated data from sources like Nielsen and IRI, and account-specific databases, you'll create and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to drive growth and excellence.
  • Monitoring field execution of vendor programs: You'll stay informed of vendor program execution in the field, ensuring that our programs are executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Staying informed of analytic best practices: You'll stay up-to-date on the latest analytic best practices across the industry, providing valuable insights to inform our business decisions.
  • Analyzing and reporting data: You'll analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, providing actionable recommendations to drive growth and excellence.
  • Tracking category performance: You'll track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Developing and communicating performance metrics: You'll develop, communicate, execute, and monitor performance metrics and goals, ensuring that our suppliers are engaged in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Creating and delivering effective reports: You'll create and deliver effective reports using POS data and syndicated data, providing actionable insights to drive growth and excellence.
  • Analyzing supply chain: You'll analyze the supply chain to evaluate and recommend supplier performance, ensuring that our inventory logistics objectives are met.
  • Understanding and applying customer, consumer, and industry insights: You'll understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data, providing actionable recommendations to drive growth and excellence.
  • Ensuring superior client satisfaction: You'll ensure superior client satisfaction through deep analytics and team problem-solving, driving growth and excellence through collaborative relationships.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector: Adult Beverage experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations: You'll need a deep understanding of the beverage industry, including National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations.
  • Expertise in category management principles and shopper/consumer insights: You'll need expertise in category management principles and shopper/consumer insights, with a strong understanding of market research methodologies.
  • Assertive leadership and decision-making skills: You'll need assertive leadership and decision-making skills, with high energy and a results-driven approach.
  • Preferred experience with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and Internal Shipment Data: Experience with syndicated data and internal shipment data is preferred.
  • Strong foundation in business fundamentals and business finance: You'll need a strong foundation in business fundamentals and business finance, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint: You'll need intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create and deliver effective reports.

Nice-to-haves

* Experience in the Adult Beverage industry: Experience in the Adult Beverage industry is a plus.

  • Familiarity with market research methodologies: Familiarity with market research methodologies is a plus.
