Job Summary

We're seeking compassionate and customer-focused individuals to join our remote team as customer service representatives. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with families and schools participating in the scholarship program, responding to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship applications, and funding status. Your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills will enable you to deliver an outstanding customer experience, ensuring that all questions are answered, callers are satisfied, and students are registered.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming calls from families and schools participating in the scholarship program

  • Address student inquiries, scholarship applications, and funding status in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide empathetic, personable, and compassionate support to callers, even in challenging situations
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve issues and escalate complex cases as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of customer interactions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of customer issues
  • Stay up-to-date on program policies, procedures, and changes to provide accurate information to callers

Essential Qualifications

* At least one year of customer service or call center experience

  • English proficiency (a language assessment will be required)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering an excellent customer service experience
  • Ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult, tense situations
  • Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and ability to multitask
  • Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC/internet navigation

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a non-profit or education-related field

  • Familiarity with scholarship programs or student support services
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (additional language proficiency may be an asset)
  • Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-motivation and discipline to work independently
  • Strong typing and keyboard skills (at least 40 wpm)
  • Proficiency in PC/internet navigation and software applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
