Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Experience Agent, you'll be responsible for:
- Fielding incoming customer service calls, taking ownership of resolving customer issues in a timely and accurate manner
- Researching account status and identifying account issues to provide effective solutions
- Addressing billing inquiries and resolving billing disputes in a fair and efficient manner
- Processing disconnection and re-connection requests with precision and attention to detail
- Enrolling customers and resolving enrollment issues with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Initiating collection activity on past due accounts and processing disconnection and re-connection requests as needed
- Serving as a customer advocate while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies associated with the role
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required: You'll be able to communicate effectively with customers in both English and Spanish.
- Outstanding phone etiquette and polished communication skills: You'll possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent listening skills: You'll be able to actively listen to customers, understand their concerns, and provide tailored solutions.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with agitated customers: You'll be able to remain composed and empathetic, even in high-pressure situations.
- Attentive to detail and committed to high-quality customer service: You'll be meticulous in your work, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills: You'll be able to analyze complex issues, identify solutions, and implement effective resolutions.
- Willingness to identify problems and suggest process improvements: You'll be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process enhancements.
- Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Word and Excel applications: You'll be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and navigating the Windows environment.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where change is commonplace: You'll be adaptable, flexible, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inbound call center environment: You'll have a solid understanding of call center operations and customer care principles.
- Experience within the retail electricity industry: You'll have a deep understanding of the Electricity industry and its unique challenges.
- Experience in similar markets such as utilities, telecom, or cable: You'll have a broad understanding of the industry and be able to apply your knowledge to our customers' needs.
