Job Description
As an Entry Level Drafter, you will utilize 2D Configura, a tool similar to AutoCAD, to create precise drawings for custom industrial safety cages, machine guards, and partitions. You will also engage with customers to understand their project needs, answer inquiries about order status, and provide guidance on the installation of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D drawings for custom safety cages, machine guards, and partitions using Configura.
- Interface with customers to understand their requirements and project specifications.
- Provide customer support by answering phone calls regarding order status and installation procedures.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD.
- Strong drafting skills, gained either through formal education or on-the-job experience.
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and represent the company effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Drafting certificate or Associate's degree in drafting.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D.
Work Environment
The company is a small shop specializing in the design and manufacturing of safety cages, machine guards, and partitions for industrial applications. The work environment is laid back, offering flexibility in hours for those still attending school. Initially, you will need to work in the office five days a week, but after demonstrating dependability, there is an opportunity to work remotely two days a week. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of White House, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
