Position Title: ABA -Board Certified Behavior Analyst Position Status: Full-Time (Preferred), or Part-Time transitioning into Full-Time Pay: $95,000 - $100,000.00/yr DOE Job Duties:

  • Use assessment tools, metrics, and data to create and deliver teaching programs that create positive behavioral outcomes and opportunity for new behavioral programs.
  • Utilize proper implementation of plans, BIPs, monitor and record contacts and observations. Utilization of professional knowledge and judgment to implement continuous improvements.
  • Train and supervise Behavior Technicians, Registered Behavior Technicians, and Case Supervisors via observations, conducting meetings, providing performance coaching etc. Please note - RBT’s are to be supervised by the assigned BCBAs twice per month by one on one supervision in the home, at 5% of total hours.
  • Establish/maintain data measurement and collection, and analysis system for clients receiving behavioral intervention/s. Provide and maintain proper documentation and prepare/complete reports when and where applicable.
  • Ensure treatment plans and programs are compliant with contract requirements, satisfaction of all relevant insurance certifications and other expectations meet and exceed professional standards. Systematic records keeping practices must be maintained, consistent, highly organized, and thorough.
  • Discover creative opportunities to ensure the continuous and consistent treatment and support services across the board. Find, develop, and strategize for stable, quality services whenever clientele experiences changes and transitions.
  • Provision of staff development, training and modeling for team members in strategies and methodologies for working with children on the autism spectrum and/or other disabilities to manage their behavioral, adaptive, and/or social/communication challenges. Provide consultation regarding crisis interventions and critical incident supports.
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) and mandated reporting laws are understood, implemented and reinforced.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • A Master's degree in special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health and treatment philosophies and professional practices
  • A minimum of three years of recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and their families
  • Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, and thorough knowledge of child development. Experience developing positive behavior support plans and programs; experience teaching social interaction and play skills
  • Knowledge of current methods and techniques of applied behavior analysis and discrete trial training; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, parents, and professionals; competence in analyzing assessment results, designing appropriate individual treatment plans and behavioral programs, and monitoring progress
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team member, demonstrate flexibility and desire to learn new skills and improve professional qualifications, and travel independently in rural/remote locations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • A plus if blingual In Spanish - Read, speak, and write
  • Strong communication skills to work with a diverse team.
  • Basic computer skills and be able to use all required software.
  • Ability to problem-solve and assist in decision-making, including during emergencies or when a supervisor is not onsite.
  • Maintain current status regarding assigned core competencies and other required certification acquisition within established schedule and timelines.
  • Work productively to develop relationships with individuals, families, and natural supports.
  • Proven creative abilities, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.
  • Have a valid California Driver’s license, reliable transportation and a driving record.
  • Maintain a high level of organization for file maintenance, daily, weekly and monthly record keeping.

There will be sitting, crawling, walking, running, blocking, and lifting up to 20 lbs if necessary.
