Senior Financial Analyst- R&D FP&A (FinOps & Product) - West
Description:
- Own the end-to-end rolling forecast for R&D, including cloud consumption, AI/ML inference costs, and headcount scaling.
- Participate in annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and variance cycles.
- Serve as a core member of the FinOps practice by translating AWS, Azure, and GCP usage data into actionable business insights.
- Partner with Engineering to define and track cost per user or consumption-based cost metrics and identify gross margin improvement opportunities.
- Lead monthly cloud reviews with Engineering leaders to analyze usage trends, Reserved Instance and Savings Plan coverage, and waste reduction.
- Build financial models to evaluate the ROI and margin impact of new features and product initiatives, including AI capabilities.
- Manage month-end close for R&D, ensuring accrual accuracy and providing high-level variance analysis to the CFO organization.
- Prepare clear communications and support execution of recommendations with internal and external partners.
- Leverage AI, BI tools, and FP&A platforms to automate manual reporting and improve financial visibility.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support business decisions and procurement needs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive experience with demonstrated growth in Finance or FP&A roles.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate discussions with leaders.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in building complex financial models.
- Direct experience with cloud-native cost management tools such as CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, or AWS Cost Explorer is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud terminology and concepts such as compute, storage, and data transfer and how they affect the P&L is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel to the Bellevue, WA office as business needs require.

- US base salary range of $92,500 to $126,250 USD.
