Brand Manager, Innovation & Development
Our client, a prominent player in the FMCG sector located in Columbus, Ohio, US , is looking for an innovative and strategic Brand Manager to spearhead new product development and drive brand growth. This role is crucial for identifying market opportunities, translating consumer insights into compelling product strategies, and managing the entire lifecycle of new product launches. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the FMCG landscape, demonstrated success in brand management, and a passion for creating disruptive and successful consumer products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, R&D, sales, and supply chain to ensure seamless execution from concept to market. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, creative thinking, and exceptional leadership skills to bring innovative ideas to life and capture significant market share. Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies, including product innovation roadmaps and go-to-market plans for new product launches within the FMCG space. Conduct in-depth market research, consumer trend analysis, and competitive landscape assessments to identify new business opportunities and growth avenues. Translate consumer insights and market data into actionable product concepts and business cases. Manage the new product development process from ideation through commercialization, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and financial targets. Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality, differentiation, and cost-effectiveness. Develop and oversee integrated marketing communications plans to build brand awareness, drive trial, and foster consumer loyalty. Manage the P&L for assigned brands, setting volume, sales, and profitability objectives and tracking performance against KPIs. Work closely with sales teams to ensure effective product distribution and retail execution. Present brand strategies, performance updates, and new product proposals to senior leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive brand management experience in the FMCG industry. Proven track record of successfully launching new products and growing brands in competitive markets. Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, data analysis, and financial modeling. Excellent strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and project management abilities. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. Proficiency in consumer insights generation and translation.
