Job Summary

The Director of Data Science will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that drives business growth, improves risk management, and enhances decision-making across the organization. As a key member of the Risk Finance team, you will lead the development of centralized reporting capabilities, implement process enhancements and automation, and provide strategic insights to inform business and risk decisions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Director of Data Science at arenaflex, you will:

• Lead the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance: Develop and implement advanced analytics and machine learning models to inform business and risk decisions.
• Own precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert of the applicable tools: Troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation possibilities, and train other customers to drive adoption.
• Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reviews used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; provide credit-associated analytical aid: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven solutions that inform business and risk decisions.
• Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management: Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to senior leaders, ensuring that they are actionable and impactful.
• Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, ensuring that data-driven insights are integrated into business and risk decisions.
• Provide selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which may be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions: Develop and implement data-driven solutions that inform business and risk decisions, driving growth and stability across the organization.

Required Qualifications

To be successful as a Director of Data Science at arenaflex, you will need:

• Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1: Proven experience working with a range of data tools and technologies, with a strong understanding of data modeling and analytics.
• Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required: Strong skills in data visualization and presentation, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to senior leaders.
• Experience in ML modeling is a plus: Familiarity with machine learning models and techniques, with the ability to develop and implement predictive models that inform business and risk decisions.
• Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
