Job Summary

As a Category Manager in our Technology SCM team, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of technology suppliers that support our Air Operations groups, including Flight Operations, Network Operations Control, and Inflight Operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our suppliers meet business objectives, maximize supplier value, and mitigate risk. Your expertise will be invaluable in leading strategic sourcing events, negotiations, and contract drafting, as well as mentoring more junior team members in this space.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of technology suppliers that support our Air Operations groups, including Flight Operations, Network Operations Control, and Inflight Operations

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our suppliers meet business objectives, maximize supplier value, and mitigate risk
  • Lead strategic sourcing events, negotiations, and contract drafting to secure the best possible deals for arenaflex
  • Develop and implement category strategies that align with arenaflex's business objectives and goals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology spend and supplier-related issues
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to more junior team members on category management best practices
  • Analyze data and market trends to inform category strategies and supplier selection
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful partnerships

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in managing complex contracts and supplier relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and market trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong knowledge of category management principles, practices, and tools

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Certification in category management, procurement, or a related field (e.g. CSCP, CPSM)
  • Experience working in the airline or travel industry
  • Strong knowledge of technology spend and supplier-related issues in the airline industry
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of arenaflex's business objectives and goals
