Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Quality Control Standards team on a 12-week internship from May 21 to August 9, 2024. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with our team to analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights that inform business decisions. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including data visualization, statistical analysis, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets with attention to detail and accuracy
• Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and data visualizations
• Identifying areas for process improvement and developing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
• Analyzing data to identify trends and patterns, and developing insights that inform business decisions
• Developing and maintaining databases, data models, and data visualizations to support business needs
• Identifying and mitigating risks through data analysis and process improvement initiatives
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data mining and machine learning techniques

• Familiarity with SQL and database management systems
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js or Matplotlib
• Knowledge of statistical programming languages, such as R or Python
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems
