Experienced Data Engineer – Cloud-Based Data Pipeline Development and Support

Our team is responsible for supporting clients across arenaflex, including the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division, which encompasses Parks and Resorts both domestic and international, Consumer Products and Disney Consumer Products & Interactive Media, as well as the Disney General Entertainment Content division, which includes Studios Content (Disney General Entertainment Content), General Entertainment Content, and ESPN and Sports Content.

Job Summary
The DDSI Data Engineering (DE) team is looking for a Data Engineer to develop and support data pipelines for our Media business. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity. This is a full-time remote position, with a salary of $27/hour.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
- Develop and maintain data sets, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization
- Work with data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data-driven solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and errors
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Advancements and Tools
* SQL (primarily Snowflake and PostgreSQL)
- Python
- Docker
- Gitlab
- Wind stream
Requirements
* Four-year college education in Software Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Demonstrated expertise and experience using Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
- Experience with creating in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOPS strategies for code organization/development
- Experience creating and maintaining automated job schedulers
- Strong understanding of social data set plan and capability
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Proficiency on cloud design and product offerings, ideally AWS
- Experience overseeing and delivering code using a source control tool like GitLab/GitHub
- Experience using Docker
