What You'll Do

As a remote customer service representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Completing daily tasks related to account processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers at arenaflex Credit Union.
  • Coordinating return objects with contributors, door vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions.
  • Assisting various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing.
  • Working member cases/assignments as assigned.
  • Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws.
  • Processing mortgage bills, multi-account, and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, financial ruin, and payoff exams.
  • Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products.
  • Logging, studying, and making important GL, account changes, and/or returns.
  • Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching.
  • Completing daily balancing and department closing.
  • Obtaining information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of domestic and international budget transfer requests.
  • Researching and affirming incoming and outgoing budget transfer information.
  • Communicating with the vendor to process budget transfers.
  • Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws.
  • Depositing check returns, studying member re-exams on draft changes, processing member exams, affirming contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers.
  • Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, overseas collections, and legal fees.

All You'll Need for Success

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school degree or GED.
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a strong commitment to teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous customer/member service experience.

  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience.
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

* Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through both work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software.

  • Ability to work prolonged hours in aid of business needs.
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and feature as an integral part of a team.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and examine data.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high volume pressure.
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and contributors.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to self-motivate with robust employer skills and capability for interest to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits.
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance.
  • Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams.
