This role is part of the Data Innovation Group within the Data Innovation Division at arenaflex. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both traditional and cloud-based infrastructure solutions based on plans from foundation modelers. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of arenaflex's IT infrastructure.

What You'll Do

* Develop a deep understanding of concepts related to server load balancing, WAS clustering, and other application scaling ideas.

• Investigate and resolve middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Proactively monitor local and remote data center operations and hardware, including UPSs, air conditioning, power, office security systems, and all datacenter cycles and processes.
• Foster a culture of sharing and collaboration among the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest infrastructure technology best practices and emerging trends, to maintain area expertise and suggest improvements or changes.
• Uphold communication and response processes by answering clients on infrastructure issues, support, and system status, and advising and escalating on any prolonged or significant issues.
• Manage and maintain Windows Dynamic Registry, including DNS and Group Policies.
• Provide guidance to junior experts and assist when and where necessary.
• Participate in rotational shifts for on-call support.

All You'll Need for Success

* Essential Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. + 3+ years of experience as an IT infrastructure engineer or manager.

• Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. + 4+ years of experience as an IT infrastructure engineer or manager.

Abilities, Licenses, and Accreditations

* High-level ability to design decisively for current and future business conditions, including future technology and business design changes to create adaptable, flexible solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of IT business activities, infrastructure requirements, and processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in the following:

+ Server Administration - Linux (RHEL/CentOS 7/8 and Windows (2012/2016) + Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Python, Bash, and PowerShell + Cloud Innovations - Design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications (Microsoft Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud) + DevOps - CI/CD, GitHub, Artifactory, or Jenkins + Containerization - Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry + Server and Application Monitoring - Dynatrace, LogDNA, and SysDig

• Ability to investigate complex issues and implement solutions or workarounds.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and grow depth of knowledge.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and influence best practices.
• Exhibited drive, adaptability, and ability to adjust to changing needs and work environments.
• Capability in Coordinated project management technique, specifically within infrastructure domain.
