The Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team at arenaflex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based data pipelines that drive business value and inform strategic decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of data-driven innovation at arenaflex.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Product, and Engineering, to design and develop data pipelines that meet business requirements
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL (Snowflake and PostgreSQL), Python, Docker, and GitLab
- Design and implement data set schema, tables, and views to support data analysis and science models
- Deliver high-quality datasets as input to science models and visualizations
- Develop and maintain automated work schedulers to ensure efficient data processing and pipeline execution
- Work with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud-based solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure arenaflex remains at the forefront of data-driven innovation
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Proven expertise in using Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
- Experience working in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOPS setup for code organization and development
- Experience creating and maintaining automated work schedulers
- Strong understanding of data set schema and design
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud-based solutions
- Proficiency in cloud design and product offerings, ideally AWS
- Experience managing and delivering code using a source control tool like GitLab/GitHub
- Experience using Docker
