Key Responsibilities:
As an Experienced Customs Trade Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional client care and ensuring timely and accurate customs clearance
- Processing and managing import and export documentation, including customs forms, invoices, and certificates of origin
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking and tracing information
- Collaborating with internal teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and execution
- Staying up-to-date with changing regulations and requirements, including customs procedures and trade agreements
- Identifying and resolving issues related to customs clearance, including delays, errors, and discrepancies
- Maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics, business, or international trade
- At least 6 months of experience in a related field, preferably in customs clearance or trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, including Harmonized System (HS) codes and trade agreements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
- Knowledge of trade compliance software and systems, including customs clearance platforms and trade management systems
- Certification in customs brokerage or trade compliance, such as the Certified Customs Broker (CCB) or the Certified Trade Compliance Professional (CTCP)
- Experience working with international trade agreements, including NAFTA, GATT, and WTO
- Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation operations, including freight forwarding and supply chain management
