As a member of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union, you'll be responsible for various tasks related to payment processing, account management, and customer service. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with numbers, possess strong analytical skills, and are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Complete daily access and balancing features, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions
  • Coordinate with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and process transactions
  • Assist various departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
  • Work on member cases and projects assigned, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
  • Process mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
  • Log, study, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing
  • Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests
  • Research and verify incoming and outgoing wire transfer information
  • Communicate with vendors to process wire transfers
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming wire transfer laws
  • Deposit check returns, study member re-exams on draft changes, process member exams, verify members for outgoing wire transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing wire transfers
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • High school degree or GED
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience
  • Previous customer/member service experience
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education
  • Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
  • Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high-pressure conditions
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
  • Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits
  • Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
  • Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
