Safety and Emergency Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Emergency Manager to join our team. The Safety and Emergency Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety and emergency preparedness for our company. This includes developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety training, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and clients.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Provide safety training to all employees and contractors, including new hire orientation and ongoing training.
• Maintain records of all safety training, incidents, and near-misses.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to safety and emergency preparedness.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, including drills and exercises.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety and emergency-related issues and incidents.
• Conduct thorough investigations of all safety incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement safety initiatives and best practices.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to safety and emergency preparedness and make recommendations for improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, emergency management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and emergency management, preferably in the energy industry.
• In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other safety management software.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
