Math and Science Tutors Needed
About the position College Tutors of Ann Arbor, Canton & Northville, MI is searching for energetic, engaging, and dedicated Math and Science Tutors. For more than a decade, our company has provided superb tutoring services. We provide solutions, improve circumstances, restore confidence, leading to successful students. We help students catch up, catch on and get ahead. “Getting it” in school builds students’ confidence as well as their skills. And no one helps students get it right like a College Tutor.
Responsibilities
- Help students understand concepts
- Build study skills
- Improve test scores
- Guide students through their homework
- Prepare students for exams
- Explain subjects such as biology, chemistry, pre-calculus (math analysis), calculus, physics, statistics, trigonometry or earth sciences
- Tutor one-on-one in-person, virtual and remote learning settings
Requirements
- Ability to engage and connect with students
- Desire to be a Role Model for middle, high school and college-bound students
- Organized learner with subject-specific expertise and demonstrated achievement
- Highly motivated and proven ability to relay knowledge in an effective and individualized/customized manner
- Comfortable explaining one or more of the following subjects: biology, chemistry, pre-calculus (math analysis), calculus, physics, statistics, trigonometry or earth sciences
- Ability to tutor one-one-one in-person, virtual and remote learning settings
- Pass a background check
