TITLE: Community Fundraising Operations Manager DEPARTMENT: Development LOCATION: Remote POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt REPORTS TO: VP, Community Fundraising COMPENSATION : $65,000-$75,000 annual salary; Healthcare benefits are available for this role. ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW: The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Community Fundraising Operations Manager is a key operations-focused role responsible for managing the logistics, infrastructure, and processes that support the organization’s peer-to-peer and community fundraising events. This position ensures seamless execution across all events nationwide by overseeing timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and internal coordination. The role partners closely with cross-functional teams and volunteer leaders nationwide to enhance efficiency, fundraising success, and overall program impact. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and manage event execution for all community fundraising events nationwide.
  • Manage the overall events budget, tracking expenses to support strategic financial planning.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), toolkits and playbooks to standardize execution and streamline processes.
  • Manage event timelines, vendor relationships, contracts, logistics, and record-keeping for all assigned fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide infrastructure and operational support to the CF team and volunteer leaders nationwide.
  • Collaborate with Marcom and other internal teams to support event promotion and execution.
  • Oversee event-related data management within the CRM, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for reporting and analysis.
  • Manage fulfillment of sponsor benefits, including recognition, hospitality, and deliverables, to maintain strong partner relationships.
  • Supervise staff and interns, providing guidance, project oversight, and support to achieve team goals.
  • Advise senior leadership on operational improvements, process efficiencies, and budget planning.
  • Oversee event materials, inventory, and distribution across markets.
  • Provide on-site operational leadership and support at events as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in event operations, peer-to-peer fundraising, or nonprofit program management.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors (including RFP), and contracts.
  • Excellent contract negotiating skills with demonstrated cost-saving success.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and data management best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality, mission-driven work.
  • Ability to travel as needed and lift up to 30 pounds for event support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in peer-to-peer fundraising programs (walks, endurance, DIY campaigns)
  • Familiarity with volunteer-led fundraising models and national program scaling
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and event/fundraising platforms (e.g., Classy, GoFundMe Pro)

SALARY RANGE: Competitive non-profit salary, typically ranging from $65,000-$75,000 , based on experience and qualifications.
