Collaboration with other researchers, agronomists, and farmers will be a key aspect of the role. The ideal candidate holds a Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticulture, or a closely related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural research, with a strong publication record, is required. Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis (e.g., using R, SAS, or SPSS), and familiarity with common agricultural laboratory techniques are essential. Knowledge of crop genetics, plant breeding, and sustainable agriculture practices is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for reporting and dissemination of research. The ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently manage research projects, is critical.
