Location: All Campuses Job Type: Adjunct Faculty, Credit Job Number: 000497 Department: 1604 Mathematics Opening Date: 01/02/2026 Closing Date: 6/30/2026 11:59 PM Eastern Position Summary Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic Adjunct Instructor to join our team of faculty who are committed to student success. Adjunct Instructor who subscribes to the notion of meeting students where they are, DCCC has a place for you! The Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) Division of Delaware County Community College is searching for Adjunct Mathematics Instructors to teach day and evening courses. In conjunction with Delaware County Community College's Mission and Values, Adjunct Mathematics Instructors are responsible for providing quality instruction to students in Mathematics courses at the College. It is the responsibility of the instructors to be knowledgeable of the content they teach as well as able to convey that content in a manner that is accessible to the College's diverse student population. Along with learning and growing the College's culture, Adjunct Faculty are also responsible for providing students with the ability to take their knowledge and apply it to their future coursework and/or the career arc of their choosing. Essential Functions Primary responsibilities include but not limited to: -

• Plan and provide content instruction to students enrolled in their section(s).
• Hold an office hour per week, per section taught, to meet with students concerning course content and other individual needs
• Assess the knowledge of students enrolled and submit grades representative of their knowledge and achievement on assessments
• Connect students with the campus resources that will best supplement the needs of the students enrolled in your section(s)

Secondary Duties:

• Attend all professional development and training sessions offered to new and veteran Adjunct Professors at the College
• Review and stay abreast of changes in the curriculum of the courses you teach.
• Maintain relevant course materials and information (syllabus, assignments, grades, etc.) in Canvas
• Attend formal observation meetings with the Assistant Dean, STEM and/or Site Director to gain input on your teaching acumen and discuss ways in which you can improve

Experience & Education Minimum Qualifications:

• A master's degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to Mathematics

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Master's or PhD. from an accredited college or university in Mathematics
• Three-plus years of teaching experience at the College level
