Volunteer: Fundraising Plan & Donor Pipeline for $100K Annual Goal

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. At the end of this project, the volunteer and I will have created a written fundraising plan and a functioning donor pipeline that Ineffable Films can execute against to reach our $100K annual goal. Over 8–10 weeks (2–5 hours/week), the volunteer will: 1. Audit our current fundraising activity and identify gaps across four revenue channels: individual giving, foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, and crowdfunding. 2. Develop a 12-month fundraising plan with specific dollar targets per channel, a campaign calendar, and key milestones. 3. Build a donor prospect pipeline (50–75 prospects) inside our existing CRM (Go High Level), organized by channel, cultivation stage, and estimated gift size. 4. Create a one-page case-for-support document we can use across outreach, grant applications, and sponsorship pitches. The final deliverables will be: (1) a written fundraising plan document, (2) a populated donor pipeline in our CRM, and (3) a case-for-support one-pager. The ideal volunteer has hands-on nonprofit fundraising experience — grant writing, major gifts, corporate partnerships, or a combination. Strong writing skills and comfort working in a CRM are essential. Experience in arts, film, youth development, or cultural equity is a plus but not required. Ineffable Films is a 501(c)(3) that gives young BIPOC and diaspora filmmakers ages 14–24 the access, mentorship, and resources to get their films onto festival screens — free of charge. We cover what stops most young filmmakers: post-production support, submission fees, travel, and lodging. In two years we have engaged 60 filmmakers, funded 19 festival submissions, and earned 10 acceptances. In 2026, we aim to send 50 young filmmakers to festivals, fund 200 submissions, and reach 5,000 people — but only if we can raise $100K. Right now, we have no formal fundraising plan. This project changes that. The volunteer's deliverables — a fundraising plan, a donor pipeline, and a case for support — will give us the infrastructure to pursue funding systematically instead of ad hoc. Every dollar this plan helps us raise translates directly into a young filmmaker who gets to attend their screening, receive mentorship from a working Hollywood professional, or access editing support they could never afford on their own. The volunteer will see their strategic work power real outcomes for young creatives across Boston, San Diego, Los Angeles, and beyond. We have done significant groundwork to make this project efficient for a volunteer from day one. We will provide:

  • A completed impact and evaluation framework (developed through a current Taproot project) with clear metrics: 60 filmmakers engaged, 19 festival submissions funded, 10 acceptances, and 700 people reached in our first two years.
  • A grant proposal template and sample draft (in progress through another Taproot engagement) that the volunteer can reference for grant-channel planning.
  • Access to our CRM (Go High Level), already being configured for our workflows, where the donor pipeline will live.
  • Our mission, vision, 2026 growth targets, program descriptions, and Candid/GuideStar profile — all ready to share at kickoff. Our Founder/Executive Director will lead this project, starting with a kickoff call to align on scope and timeline. We will hold weekly check-ins, provide feedback within 48 hours, and make sure the volunteer has everything they need. We are a 40-person remote volunteer team experienced in productive async collaboration across time zones.

Ineffable Films, Inc. We operate primarily in the Greater Boston area, including Somerville, Cambridge, and Brookline, with aspirations to expand our reach and impact. Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
