Project Manager (Medicaid) - Contract - Columbia, SC
About the position We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support multiple IT initiatives within the Medicaid domain. The role involves end-to-end project coordination, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight across complex healthcare IT projects.
Responsibilities
- Gather and assist in developing business and technical requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and ensure execution aligns with timelines and objectives.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Track and ensure timely completion of all deliverables with high quality standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and management.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Maintain project documentation including plans, schedules, metrics, and reports.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business users.
- Support multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Project Management experience.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare insurance or Medicaid IT projects.
- Strong experience in project planning, effort estimation, and resource allocation.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Medicaid or healthcare delivery systems.
- PMP certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong exposure to healthcare IT environments.
