Overview

Stages of Change, LLC is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to serve as a Clinical Reviewer & Supervisor within our Mental Health Rehabilitation (MHR) program. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented clinician who excels in documentation review, clinical guidance, and staff development. The primary responsibility of this position is to review and ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of progress notes while providing structured monthly supervision to clinical staff. This role does not require direct client caseload management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Documentation Review
  • Review progress notes for completeness, accuracy, and clinical appropriateness
  • Ensure documentation aligns with treatment plans, medical necessity, and MHR standards
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to staff to improve clinical writing and compliance
  • Identify patterns in documentation errors and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to state, federal, and agency regulations

Clinical Guidance & Case Support

  • Offer clinical insight and recommendations to staff regarding challenging cases
  • Assist staff in strengthening interventions, goals, and measurable outcomes
  • Support clinicians in applying evidence-based practices within documentation
  • Serve as a resource for ethical and clinical decision-making

Supervision Responsibilities

  • Provide monthly individual supervision to assigned staff
  • Facilitate monthly group supervision sessions focused on skill-building and case discussion
  • Promote professional growth, accountability, and adherence to best practices
  • Maintain supervision documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

Quality Assurance & Program Support

  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain high clinical standards across the program
  • Assist in developing documentation guidelines, templates, and training materials
  • Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted LCSW or LPC license in Louisiana (required)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in mental health or behavioral health settings
  • Experience with Mental Health Rehabilitation (MHR) services or similar programs preferred
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, medical necessity, and compliance
  • Experience providing clinical supervision preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to provide constructive feedback

  • Familiarity with Medicaid documentation requirements
  • Experience working with diverse populations (children, adolescents, and adults)
  • Ability to mentor and support developing clinicians
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
