PA/PsychNP for Psych Virtual Outpatient - Will Train - Moonlighting to full time

Job Overview Virtual outpatient psychiatry (generally all remote with rare exceptions). Looking for urgent care PAs We are especially looking for a PA who currently work somewhere that generates their own referrals for outpatient psychiatry. Examples:

• Currently working for an urgent care where they can continue part time (and identify patients in need of psychiatry) while building up a caseload with us.
• Currently working in inpatient psychiatry or at a rehab that might discharge appropriate patients to your caseload with our clinic.

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic psychiatric care team. • Conduct thorough patient assessments screening for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and a range of other mental health disorders; this is all with guidance from supervising physician.
• Procatively encouraging patients to connect with talk therapists.
• Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems and utilize AI note taking if preferred.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program; licensure or eligibility to practice in Pennsylvania required.
• Prior hospital experience or clinical rotations involving inpatient or outpatient psychiatric care preferred.
• Willingness and interest in reading and learning as needed

• What hours do you work currently and where? What do you currently do for work?
• What would be your ideal work hours to start? (Days of week, time ranges of day). Evenings and weekends are slightly preferred if possible.
• Do you currently work at an urgent care or in another setting that generates referrals for outpatient psychiatry in Pennsylvania or Michigan? How far from Philadelphia (being near is not a requirement).
• Do you work in a setting where you can go down to part time while working with us? Do they allow you to taper your hours with them over months or even a year while building up hours with us?
• Over what period of time do you need to grow your hours with us? For instance, can you tolerate building up to 15 hours over a full year or do your life circumstances not afford you that flexibility?
• If applicable: At your CURRENT job, how many referrals could you make monthly to psych prescribers (such as yourself) in Pennsylvania or Michigan? There are ethical ways to do this and would speed up how fast your schedule might build.

Of note, please comment on if you could realistically refer to our psych office position from your other position. For instance, this is less doable from a primary care job (because patients would typically want to see you at the primary care clinic.) However, from jobs like 1) urgent care or 2) inpatient psychiatry or 3) short term rehab facilities you may generate referrals to your psych case load. Education:
