We’re looking for an experienced Studio Photographer to come on board and help with all studio photography needs. The Studio Photographer will work in the in-house photo studio and will be responsible for creating high quality product and campaign images for marketing, web, and sales support materials. Ability to both style and photograph the product, while acting as G&E & DIT are important aspects of the role. You’ll work closely with content production, creative teams and product teams to shoot all studio photo needs for YETI Product. Position Type (See Workplace Approach Below): Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Shooting all YETI product for ecommerce site along with any other in-studio needs for campaigns/marketing materials
- Style & Shoot product at in-house studio, in coordination with in house producer
- Work with creative team to make sure everything is shot is matching current style of YETI studio photography
- Deliver raw images to internal retoucher, ensuring photos are being shot to their needs
- Collaborate with producer on shoot schedule and retouching timing, with flexibility & understanding for shifting priorities
- Work within our product style guidelines, ensuring consistence and alignment for all images
- Contribute to manual labor such as set break down, moving product, etc.
- Understand deadlines and schedules in order to prioritize product shoots
Qualifications
And Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in studio experience required
- At least 5 years of experience in studio photography
- Experience with shooting consumer products is required
- Familiar with Photoshop and/or CaptureOne action sets, image resolution, color space, and image file formats
- Understanding of lighting, reflections, materials, textures, and how they affect color
- Strong visual skills, attention to detail and an eye for consistency and color
- Experience using physical samples and reference files to match color
- Strong knowledge in both natural and studio lighting
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Proficient with studio lighting, color balance, exposure, and composition
- Responsive to constructive criticism and humbly accept design direction
- Previous experience working at an agency or with an in-house creative team or brand a plus
- You love process, details & organization—your file naming & storage is your pride
- Knowledge of outdoors a plus
- Optimistic, energetic and naturally brings the fun to the office

- Hybrid: Role requires you to be located in Austin, Texas and is a mixture of onsite and remote.
