Design and implement mechanical systems for facilities that are efficient, reliable, and cost-effective. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functioning. Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that arise in a timely manner. Collaborate with other engineers and departments to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering to continuously improve facility operations. Develop and manage budgets for mechanical projects and maintenance. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards in regards to mechanical systems. Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in mechanical engineering principles and best practices. Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality and cost-effective equipment and materials. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to operations. Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on the status of ongoing projects and maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, as well as equipment specifications and manuals. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed mechanical projects. Contribute to the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives to promote sustainability.
