Senior Software Test Engineer (Manual QA Focus)
Robert Half Technology is seeking a Senior Manual QA Engineer to support a client in the insurance industry, working within internal policy and administrative systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manual QA environment and enjoys partnering closely with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM) Location: 100% Remote – PST working schedule Duration: Long-term contract Key Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and execute test cases based on business requirements
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and validate requirements
- Perform manual testing across internal administrative applications
- Track, document, and manage defects through resolution
- Support ongoing testing efforts for new and existing features
- Assist in creating knowledge base (KB) documentation
- Work within a third-party platform (Vlocity) to configure and validate functionality
- 5–8+ years of experience in software testing (manual QA focus)
- Strong experience in test design, execution, and defect management
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with insurance systems (policy, claims, or employer benefits preferred)
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Katalon, etc.)
- Experience with API testing (Postman or similar tools)
- Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, SpiraTest, or similar tools
- QA certifications (ISTQB or similar)
