Cyber Security Engineer - Fintech Startup - 150,000-250,000 + Bonus + Equity

You'll be the first security hire at a fintech already handling a trillion dollars in assets. This is a fully remote role where you're stepping in to own everything security related at a fast-growing startup that serves some of the biggest private equity firms in the world. A trillion dollars in incremental assets are already running through the platform, and they need someone to build the security function from the ground up. You'll be setting up and securing the entire AWS infrastructure, making sure everything is locked down and built properly from the start. You'll own all things compliance too, SOC2, GDPR, ISO 27001 and whatever else the business needs as it scales. When PE clients want to know how their data is being protected, you're the person in the room. You become the face of the company for anything security and compliance related. This is a rare chance to shape how a company thinks about security at a critical point in its growth. You won't be inheriting someone else's decisions or maintaining a legacy setup. You're building it. Because you're the first dedicated hire in this space, you'll work directly with the founders and leadership team. Your work will be visible, your opinions will matter, and your decisions will stick. You'll need strong hands-on experience with AWS, a solid background in compliance frameworks, and a familiarity with writing code and software development practices such as scripting, implementing authentication systems, CI/CD, and IaC. This would be a great step up from a mid-level security role into something with real ownership and scope.
