- *Overview:**
A nationally recognized plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a Settlement Attorney with strong experience in employment class action litigation, particularly in wage & hour and discrimination matters. This role will focus on negotiating and finalizing complex class and collective action settlements across multiple jurisdictions.
- *Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support negotiation of employment class and collective action settlements (wage & hour, discrimination)
- Draft, review, and revise settlement agreements, term sheets, and release provisions
- Prepare and revise motions for preliminary and final approval of settlements
- Partner with litigation teams to evaluate case value, risk, and settlement strategy
- Coordinate with class action administrators to ensure smooth execution of settlement terms
- Draft and review class notices, claim forms, and related settlement documentation
- Communicate with opposing counsel to drive resolution and close settlements efficiently
- Ensure compliance with federal and state court approval requirements and deadlines
- *Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 4+ years of experience in employment law, with a focus on class and/or collective actions
- Demonstrated experience with wage & hour and/or employment discrimination litigation
- Hands-on experience supporting or leading settlement negotiations and approvals
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- *Preferred Experience:
- Plaintiff-side employment law experience
- Experience handling multi-state or nationwide class/collective actions
- Familiarity with settlement administration and distribution processes
