We are a local litigation law firm here in San Diego looking for a very experienced Senior Paralegal that can work independantly and remotely. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is being called back into the office who doesn't feel like they need to be "baby sat". Our modo is "Get your work done, and get out of here!" We are a small boutique personal injury law firm that practices all over the State of California. We are in need of a vibrant, very experienced, and empathetic Senior Paralegal. 5 years of litigation is required. We are looking for someone special to join our team for the long-run. We require a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Attention to detail is a MUST. Candidate must be extremely well organized. Some job duties will be: 1- Draft & File form complaints in California Courts (we practice in all Counties across CA) 2- Calendaring discovery, law & motion, and trial deadlines both on Google and CasePeer (our CRM) 3- Communicate with insurance companies and opposing paralegals to set dates 4- Tracking down/ordering/obtaining medical records 5- Responding to discovery with direction from attorney 6- Propounding initial set of discovery 7- Communicate with clients and set them with Defense Medical Exams, depositions, mediation 8- Noticing depositions of witnesses and defendants. 9- Tracking down witnesses Because this is a remote position our office is paperless and the candidate MUST be very comfortable using technology. Bonus will be handed out at the end of each year depending on how the firm performs (or a 401k, whatever you prefer). You must be able to hold yourself accountable and keep the attorneys cases organized. Pay commensurate with experience; Great attitude is a must. PTO. 8 Paid holidays per year. Paid sick leave. Handsome year-end bonuses are paid depending on firm productivity/ settlements (or 401k, you choose). We do not have health insurance options currently.
