Proofreader (Lithuanian)

We are looking for an Lithuanian-speaking Proofreader to support short-term remote assignments for a services organization based in Burlingame, California. This contract position offers project-based work lasting approximately 3 days per assignment and is ideal for someone who brings strong language accuracy, careful review habits, and sound judgment when handling written materials. You will help refine documents so they read clearly and correctly for the intended audience while working independently and meeting agreed turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• Review Lithuanian-language documents for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax before final delivery.
• Edit content to improve clarity, consistency, and readability while preserving the original meaning and tone.
• Check layout, formatting, and language usage to ensure each document aligns with project instructions and regional standards.
• Complete assigned proofreading tasks within established deadlines and provide timely updates on progress or issues.
• Raise questions quickly when source content is unclear or when guidance is needed to maintain quality expectations.
• Handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion throughout the assignment.
• Use common digital productivity tools, including Google Workspace, to manage files and collaborate on deliverables.
