Job Title: Part-Time Penetration Tester (1099 Contractor) Location: Remote Job Type: Contract (1099), Part-Time Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Penetration Tester to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. This role is ideal for a self-driven cybersecurity professional who can identify vulnerabilities, assess risk, and provide actionable remediation guidance across a variety of client environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform network, web application, and wireless penetration testing
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
- Simulate real-world attack scenarios to identify security weaknesses
- Document findings in clear, professional reports with remediation steps
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to explain findings and risks
- Stay current with emerging threats, tools, and techniques
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on penetration testing experience
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and security principles
- Experience with tools such as Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus, etc.
- Knowledge of common frameworks (OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Ability to write detailed technical reports and communicate findings clearly
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (OSCP, CEH, GPEN, eJPT, etc.)
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Scripting or programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST, ISO 27001)
