He/she will also assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration, maintenance, security best practices, create SOPs and other documentation, anticipate problems, and suggest solutions. Required Qualifications:
- Candidate can work remotely from any locations within the U.S. This position may require travel to project location
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
- At least 6 years of experience on SQL DBA.
- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances.
- Monitor and optimize database performance (queries, indexes, stored procedures).
- Design and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure database security and manage user access and permissions.
- Perform regular audits and troubleshoot database issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize schemas.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
- Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Implement automation for routine tasks using scripts or tools.
- Support high availability solutions (e.g., clustering, mirroring, log shipping).
- Providing On call support on a rotational basis.
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
- Knowledge of backup/recovery models, clustering, and replication.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), and Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business, technical teams and higher management
- Good in communication and in Client Interaction.
- Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation.
- Planning, Coordination, and Analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
