What you will do: Act as a senior P&C advisor to leaders, proactively managing complex employee relations matters Act as the primary P&C interface with the German Works Council and represent SOTI in discussions with employees, Work council and external stakeholders Lead and manage all Works Council relationships, including:Preparing and leading consultations and negotiations Ensuring timely information, consultation and co determination processes Partnering with Legal and leadership to achieve compliant, pragmatic outcomes Prepare, lead, and support negotiations for works agreements Maintain a strong and up to date understanding of local and regional employment legislation, case law, and Works Council requirements Propose and drive enhancements to policies, employee handbooks, and HR practices accordingly. Partner with managers to coach and develop leadership capability, including guidance on ER cases Support leaders with objective setting, performance cycles, and talent reviews, ensuring alignment with business priorities. Collaborate closely with the Legal team on employment contracts, policies and Works Council matters Lead and manage the end-to-end employee life cycle Act as the subject matter expert and escalation point for complex cases. Own the administration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of existing P&C programs, ensuring they remain compliant, effective, and aligned with organisational strategy. Contribute to the development and promotion of the Employer Brand and Employee Value Proposition, partnering with Talent Acquisition, Communications, and leadership both internally and externally. Collaborate across the P&C function on cross functional projects as required. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of progressive experience in HR, including a senior HR Business Partner or equivalent role with strong focus on Work Council Experience Demonstrated, hands on experience working with Works Councils including leading negotiations and consultations. Post secondary education in Human Resources, Employment Law, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline; professional HR qualification is preferred. Strong working knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and organisational change management. Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organisations and balance strategic advisory work with hands on execution. Experience working with HRIS platforms, with a preference for Workday. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence, and advise senior leaders. Ability to manage complex priorities, work autonomously, and drive initiatives from concept through to delivery.
