Responsibilities

The Principal Product Owner is responsible for the growth and leadership of Product Owners, project resources, and functional areas across the organization. This role will provide leadership in an agile environment and work across multiple business and technical units to drive overall project and portfolio success. To achieve this, they are expected to build effective relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization, strive for cross-departmental partnerships to foster innovation, and work to support the credit union’s strategic goals. Responsible for directing and coordinating deliverables consistent with strategic goals and the prioritization of those goals within the credit union.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience: Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree. Must have 5 years of leadership experience on a technical team, and at least 3 years of experience as an agile product owner for complex, cross - functional agile projects. Expert understanding of software development life cycle models across both agile and traditional methodologies. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and possess a high level of emotional intelligence to ensure a successful partnership across all levels of the organization. One or more related certifications such as Project Management Professions (PMP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Lean Six Sigma, SAFe Agilist (SA) required. Computer knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office Suite. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to read, write, speak and type English. Must be able to hear and use a telephone. Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes. Work Environment: Traditional office setting. Remote work available.
